"People who aren't ripped are too focused on the program. The people who are actually getting results, it doesn't matter as much what workout you're doing as much as how you're actually doing the workout." The founding argument
Protocol 8AM-B1Build 2026.08
Contents
Forty movements, each with its setup, its tempo and its hold. Four intensity modes. Nine sessions from the archive, written down the way they were actually run.
Method
Forty years of coaching on a gym floor in Gold's, transcribed, tested against four years of training, and rebuilt as software. No rep counting. The set ends when the muscle says so.

On device
Your sets, loads, times to burn and photographs stay in this browser. They are never uploaded. The server is told one thing only, which is whether you have paid.

Not medical advice. Train inside what your body allows today, and stop if something sharp replaces the burn.

How hard today?

A question about today, not about you. Pick what is true.

What have you got?

Asked once, remembered, editable here any time. The nothing path works: a backpack full of books is a dumbbell.

Your dumbbells

Tap the weights you own. The app only ever suggests these.

Anything hurt?

Flagged movements get filtered or swapped.

Voice

One distinction, once: burn in the muscle is the target. Sharp pain in a joint means stop. This is training, not medical advice. If a doctor told you not to exercise, believe the doctor.

The Archive

Real sessions, as written. Spelling mistakes included, that is how you know they are real.

The Six Rules

  1. Mind to Muscle. Stay Fucking Focused. Don't Think Reps.
  2. Stimulate, Don't Annihilate.
  3. Hold Last Rep.
  4. 10 to 20 minutes, 3x a week, usually 1 day is hard.
  5. If you're sore 2 to 4 days a week you're doing good.
  6. Do not be on your phone. Do not take rest. Follow the pace of the voice.

The Sessions

The Legend

Lou started at Gold's Gym and came up through the golden era. Forty plus years on gym floors since, hundreds of people put through the same system.

This protocol is one student's translation of four years inside it: three mornings a week, nine o'clock, over 450 sessions, nothing ever written down. You would walk in and Lou would decide. The workouts were never the same twice, and that was not randomness. He sequenced by watching, and by minute fifteen everything was used up.

"If you go hunting and you shoot a deer in the head, you don't have to shoot it in the head five more times. You just have to nail the muscle group, and you've stimulated growth."Arlin, on stimulate don't annihilate
"He's partly my therapist. He's just a wise man. He's got three daughters. He's trained hundreds of people for forty plus years. He's seen everything."Arlin, on Lou

The voice in the app is not Lou. He is not building this and he is not recording it. What you hear is his method in somebody else's mouth, which is the only honest way to ship it.

How he talks, collected over four years: "Stimulate, don't annihilate." "Once you're dead, you're dead." "Be one with the push-up." "You move too fast. Slow, slow, slow." "Hips down and back." "Don't lock it out." "Don't be afraid of it, get down there." "Do it with a smile, buddy." And at the dip rack, every single time: "Never a line at the dip rack."

Progress

Sessions per week

Three a week, one of them hard. That is the whole cadence.

Time Under Fire

Median seconds to the burn, per movement, at your working load. This number rising at the same weight is the honest progress signal. Nothing else shows it.

You feel it at three to four weeks. You see it at twelve. At six months you look like a different person.

Flex.
Look at it.

The energy you feel in your body is what gets translated into your work. Go to a mirror. Take the ten seconds.

Good job, buddy.
Good workout.

You know what it is now.

One hour with a trainer of this calibre costs more than a month of this. Fifteen minutes, three times a week, run by a voice that will not let you stop early.
