Why did we book 21
villas in Bali?
We believe that if you have a vision or a calling on your heart, you have to follow it, even if you'd look stupid if you failed.
So we signed the contract. 21 of the best cliffside villas in Uluwatu, paid for with several hundred thousand dollars of our own money. We're running the week at cost. We make nothing on your ticket. Every dollar goes into the villas, the food, the studios, the training to make the best experience possible.
About 70 people: founders, builders, artists, engineers, architects, AI builders, ecom operators, filmmakers and people in venture capital.
Most masterminds and seminars follow the same format. You sit at a desk for hours while someone lectures from a stage. There's real value in that, and some of our friends run great ones.
We learn best by making things alongside people who are great at what they do.
So 8AM Uluwatu is built around what we call Open Studios. The most talented people in attendance open up their creative process for a few hours at a time. You walk in, watch them work, ask questions, and jump in when something clicks. Nobody takes notes. You learn by building with them.
Studios run through the week, and you move between them however you like. Any guest can host one. If you're world class at something, bring it.

- Liam Ottley, one of the leaders in AI implementation, will run a session on AI architecture.
- Grady, an independent artist with half a million streams a month and sessions with some of the biggest names in music, will be producing records in one of the villas. If you played an instrument growing up, bring it.
- Hunter Isaacson, whose apps have done hundreds of millions of downloads, will be building his current projects live.
- A breathwork facilitator will be running sessions through the week.
- And monks will be on the property to show you the gateway into presence. They lead group meditation every morning and are around all day for anyone who wants to meditate with them.
