Every morning
at 8AM
The second tape, and this one is not a theory about anything. It is me at nineteen, at film school in Boston, putting up a video every single day at eight in the morning, for years, for almost nobody.

The name was never a metaphor and it was never a branding exercise. It was a posting time. I had film school, a camera and one rule I made up for myself: it goes up at 8AM, finished or not, good or not, every day.
I did that for years. Most of it is unremarkable, which is more or less the point of it: the discipline was the product long before there was a product. Everything on this site comes out of a nineteen year old deciding that the first hour of the day belonged to the work, and then not negotiating with himself about it.
The rest of that era
That last one is the whole thing in a single file. Same camera, same habit, same name in the title — and the location is the cliff you were standing on when you found this tape.
