What is the situation you are looking to rise out of?
David R. Hawkins was a psychiatrist. In 1973 he co-edited Orthomolecular Psychiatry with Linus Pauling, who held two Nobel prizes. In 1995 he published Power vs. Force, and in it, a map.
The map is one logarithmic scale, 1 to 1000, and the claim is that you can point it at anything. A person, a book, a government, a piece of music, a mood, a habit.
200 is the whole thing. Below it Hawkins put the states that need something outside themselves to run: shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride. He called that force, and force takes. At 200 and above sit courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace. He called that power, and power gives without needing an enemy.
He put the average person alive today just over the line, and most of what is made for that person below it.
Not as a measurement. As a question you can ask about anything you are about to spend your life on: does this run on power, or does it need something diminished in order to work? That question holds up against a job, a feed, a room, a habit, and a person you keep going back to.
Hawkins said he derived the numbers by muscle testing, also called applied kinesiology. That method has not held up in controlled trials, and no part of this map is established science. Nothing in this app is measured either. What you get here is a reading reasoned inside his framework by a model that knows it well.
It is a lens. That is all it has ever been, and it is still worth looking through.
